SOS Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven social service organisation working to support vulnerable people through emergency blood coordination, medical assistance, education, family welfare, environmental action, awareness and community development.
The founder's journey grew from witnessing families struggle during medical emergencies — not only because of financial hardship, but also because people often did not know whom to contact, how to arrange blood or how to reach timely assistance. SOS was shaped to make emergency support simpler, more human and easier to access.

A volunteer-led social service journey shaped by a simple question: when a family is facing an emergency, how can help reach them faster, more clearly and with dignity?
MOHAMED RIYAS H.Y. began the SOS journey after witnessing people struggle during medical emergencies — especially when families needed blood, medicines, hospital support or simply the right information at the right time.
The challenge was often not only financial. Families also faced uncertainty about whom to contact, where to find a donor and how to reach timely assistance. That experience shaped SOS Foundation around a practical principle: make emergency support easier to access, more organised and more humane.
Alongside his professional responsibilities, the founder has helped build a volunteer-led network that connects people, information and practical assistance without a profit motive. The organisation's work has expanded from emergency response into medical support, education, family welfare, environmental action, awareness and community development.
The long-term vision is to strengthen affordable healthcare, education and skill opportunities, protect vulnerable children and build sustainable systems that can continue creating measurable social value.

The challenge was often not only money. It was also uncertainty: whom to call, where to find a donor, how to reach support and how to respond quickly.
That experience shaped a simple principle: emergency help should be easier to access, more organised and more humane. SOS Foundation grew from that principle into a volunteer-led platform connecting people, information and practical assistance without a profit motive.
His professional background includes B.Com, PGDCA, DCA and HDCA, alongside work as a supermarket manager. The organisation has grown through volunteer participation, community relationships and direct service rather than a large institutional structure.
The long-term vision is deliberately bigger than emergency response: strengthen affordable healthcare access, expand education and skill opportunities, protect vulnerable children, support families and build systems that can continue creating measurable social value.
The SOS journey began with a focus on helping people who were struggling during emergencies and medical needs.
